Are You Prepared to Respond?

An accident can happen anytime, anywhere. Whether it’s a burn, scrape, broken bone, or something even more serious, it’s important to know what steps to take.

In a serious medical emergency, every second is precious, Emergency First Response gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations. Emergency Responders also learn patient assessment and first aid.

This program is composed of two core modules: Primary Care (CPR) & Secondary Care (First Aid). Together, these modules provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This course satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite.

This course is presented in two parts: Knowledge Development and Practical Training

Knowledge Development

Online learning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Complete the knowledge development section of your course whenever, wherever it's convenient for you. You will need to read and complete the knowledge reviews in the student manual prior to attending class.

Practical Training

Gain confidence in your abilities through hands-on practice, and learn how to remember what steps to take in an emergency. As part of a group, we will insure you learn everything you need to have confidence in a first response situation. We will also keep it fast moving and fun so it is not just a boring presentation of items.

Care For Children

This is an optional add-on course that teaches you what to do if a child or infant is ill or injured. Find out how medical emergencies can be different for children versus adults and gain valuable insights about the emotional aspects of caring for children. You’ll also learn how to prevent common childhood injuries and illnesses.

Prerequisites:

  • No dive certification required
  • No minimum age limit
